Happy New Year Fabulous People! I had the greatest lunch that I have ever had since I was in Paris. A lovely friend treated me to a absolutely delicious lunch at Parc Restaurant this past Saturday in Rittenhouse Square Philadelphia. Anyone that knows me knows that I am a francophile. Believe me when I say that when I walked into the restaurant it was just as if I took the 9 hour plane ride and ended up in Paris!

As soon as you walk through the doors the ambiance instantly transported and the outside world evaporates. Everything is authentically styled like a french bistro from the chairs to the crown molding! We chose to eat at the bar since there was a 45 minute wait for a table.

Sitting at the Bar

I chose the Pamplemouse from the specialty cocktail menu which was refreshing as well as delicious! I had two and would have had more but I was afraid of falling off my bar stool.

For an appetizer I chose the Mushroom Tart, which was insanely good! The crust on the tart was flaky and melted in my mouth and the flavors of pioppini mushrooms and truffle pecorino blended together so well that I could have ate another one!

For my entree I choose the Lamb Sandwich made with a slightly spicy harissa aioli and topped with arugula and tomato. The lamb was thinly sliced and perfectly seasoned so that the spices complemented the taste of the lamb without overpowering it. All in all I would absolutely go back and stay longer and do a full course meal al fresco.

Let me know if you have been there or if there an any places that you think I should try!
